ABOUT PETER FETTIS
As a Registered Yoga Teacher and and Certified Personal Trainer, Peter practices optimizing human potential as a way of life. He has training in Raja Yoga from The Ananda School of Yoga and Meditation and Physiology from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and he received his bachelor’s degree from UCSB, where his research focused on biomimetics, public health and energy systems.
His latest book How to Eat Well and Love Yourself dives in to the practical principles of mindfulness and plant-based nutrition to give you a taste of the abundant harvest from the mind's inner garden of awareness. He enjoys surfing and smoothies along with a good chuckle and appreciates each life as the unique expression of creativity flowing in all of us.
Peter engages the public on topics including the benefits of positive stress such as exercise, fasting, sauna, cold exposure and various forms of yoga; the role of emotional intelligence in personal well-being; the effects of plant-based nutrition in managing mental health; the practical psychological applications of the chakra system; and the importance of mindfulness meditation, active relaxation and optimal sleep.
Peter’s vision is to make waves in the current culture by rallying the wider public to recognize their inner healing power using a proactive, gentle approach.
